Growing Mushrooms
I’ve been growing mushrooms at home and find myself caught up in their strange rhythm. They unfold slowly with soft pleats and curling edges that feel more like fabric than fungus. Some grow in tight clusters, packed together, while others spread out in elegant fans.
The colors shift as they mature—creamy whites deepen into soft pink and vibrant yellow over a velvety surface. There’s an odd tension between fragility and strength in the way they grow. One day they’re just a trace, and then suddenly, they’re fully formed.
It’s become a quiet ritual, watching and waiting, observing how they thrive.
