Mycelium in Moulds

After successfully growing a brick, I wondered what other shapes I could grow. I started with a sphere, using two hemisphere moulds. Once the hemispheres became solid, I placed them together, and over time, the mycelium network fused the two pieces into a single form.

I left the sphere to grow for two weeks. Eventually, mushrooms began emerging from the join, transforming the object into something new and unpredictable.
